PIB Closes Public Access on KVR from Trout Creek Trestle Bridge and Banbury Green

Please note that on November 20, 2025, the snpink'tn (Penticton) Indian Band closed the section of the former Kettle Valley Railway corridor between Summerland and Banbury Green in Kaleden because of safety concerns. The closure applies to all public access. This corridor is part of the proposed Trail of the Okanagans route. Consulting work on the state of the route was completed this year and presented to Chief and Council. The next step is community engagement with Band members to determine whether-and how-they wish to proceed. Please respect the closure. Media coverage of this closure can be found here.
