Section 1 - West Kelowna West Side Trail

Trail Section Description

Until the gap is bridged through Kalamoir Park and lake side of Quail’s Gate Vineyard, this trail begins at Green Bay Road in West Kelowna  and travels south to Pebble Beach in Gellatly Bay. It travels adjacent to several lakeside wineries, adjacent to vineyards, beaches and public parks and through some lovely residential neighbourhoods.  A stop at the historic Gellatly Bay Nut farm is a special point of interest. The trail is in several states of completion,  in some cases on paved and separated pathways and in others on the shoulder of Boucherie Road which can be rather busy with traffic.  Not all of this route is suitable for everyone but much of it is a beautiful scenic ride.

Trail Length: 6.7km

Trial Type:   Much paved and segregated pathway, some roadside paved shoulder, some secondary roadway and small amounts of gravel pathway.
